    Well, that's not hard, Rad!!!:dunno::whistle::doh::heehee:

    Anthony is right is saying that a "Cold" Frame in full Sun in the Summer won't be so cold!!! Depending on what you've got in the Cold Frame a Cold Frame comes into it's own for over wintering cuttings, plants, etc during the Autumn and Winter and also in the spring for bring on seedlings etc. Having said that you can use one during a hot Summer if you leave the top open to allow air circulation and if needed some sort of shading. Some cold frames have clear sides and top while others have opaque sides and tops, I prefer the latter although even those will require airing and shading if used in direct sunlight during a hot day/Summer. I use one but it is situated on the East side of the Garden where there is some light shade and it works well. Just keep an eye on it during hot days and it should be okay.:dunno::whistle::heehee:

      :heehee: Good point. He'll be loggin on soon to tell us off ;)

      As for the coldframe, it was bought and placed in full sun specifically for sun in winter and spring to start hardening off (or starting off) young crops, or keeping some plants out of the frost. In summer, like now, I find it acts as a nice windbreak. It does get pretty warm in there if left closed so yeh I've got to be careful with it! :th scifD36: I don't think an opaque lid will help this keep cool at all :noidea: It's seems to build heat up quite quickly

          I understand why you've put the cold frame there Rad but a centre piece for a garden is normally more attractive. :) The eye is drawn to that before noticing the rest of the garden.

              There is absolutely nothing wrong with your cold frame @Radiation91, it's perfectly formed, but I do think it's in need of some slight adjustment to it's location. :biggrin:

                      Sorry, that's boring and you'll have to keep turning round to see the garden. But if you want some seating.......:)
