I'm completely lost now  It sounds quite "watershed content"ish though so I'll keep walking

                          Update on the garden:
                          • I have some small mushrooms growing in the lawn. I'll cut back on the amount of time I leave the sprinkler going. It's been very rainy recently!!
                          • I've ordered my strawberry plants to go in the planter. @Freddy 6 of each variety as per your advice :blue thumb: My lovely fiancee has made some liners to go in each trough which just needs stapling in. @JWK , I took your advice too :)

                          • I've put the bean plants outside in the coldframe, along with the sunflower seedlings. They will go in the garden in about a week (I'm not expecting much from them at all). I just want some greenery in the garden!

                          • I've ordered my fruit trees!! I seriously can't wait for them to be delivered.... which will be in early December  I've got an apple (Cordon Apple) tree, a cherry tree and a plum tree, all 4-5ft. There spots are already reserved and I've got some root grow stuff which is suggested on RHS. I'm learning ;)
                          • I've also got a couple of blueberry bushes being delivered :yay: om nom nommm! I've no idea where they're going yet. I just know that I wanted some blueberries :hapydancsmil:

                          • I've ALSO got a selection of 10 shrubs coming. They are all 1-2ft tall and I will go through them once they've arrived. @Anthony Rogers I swapped the Desfontainia Spinosa for a Honeysuckle because I have no idea if the soil is lime free or not :noidea: The honeysuckle will go nicely on the trellis planter that's still empty
There might be other stuff... who knows :coffee:

                            Good update Radiation :)

Sounds like you are doing your research, but just in case, Blueberries need quite acidic soil so you'll need ericaceous compost/fertilizer and rainwater.

                              Cheers :blue thumb:

I have done my research and know about the ericaceous compost but wasn't aware of using rainwater. So thank you!! :yahoo:

Since I'm renting this house and the drainpipes are cast iron, there's no way of collecting rainwater. I have done some research since your post and instead, I'll use white vinegar / citrus juice in tap water to keep the water slightly acidic.

The blueberry bushes could make nice focal points if grown in big pots and it would help keep the acidic soil from mixing with the standard soil.

You've opened a whole new can of worms here JWK :heehee:

I've just realised that I still need to set up my RODI filtration for my aquariums. If I get that sorted, I would be able to create pure water! Hmmmmm
