    • It's worth noting that growing a single apple tree might not give fruit if it isn't pollinated by another apple tree from the same flowering group. If a nearby neighbour has an Apple tree from the same group, that should be ok. If not, you need to think about getting another.

I'm hoping I've understood this correctly... I purposely bought self-fertile treees to avoid the need for pollination with other trees. :fingers crossed:

Ahh, ok. I had heard that these can give differing results, but don't know enough about them to say one way or another. I dare say we have a few members here that could add more.

The impression I've got is that they produce fruit without similar trees nearby, but would give more fruit with other trees around. Other than that, I'm pretty new to the whole thing. Depending on how the garden pans out, I may get another set. :blue thumb:

For now, I'm going to wait and let my debit card cool down. It screams every time I pull it out of my wallet lately. :snork:

I think you've made the right decision with the Honeysuckle Rad.

I love the sound of all those fruit trees and bushes, no blackcurrants or raspberries though

Feeling like Alice in Wonderland tumbling down the rabbit hole here. I have absolutely no idea what so ever. Don't tell me though... I'm laughing at my own confusion now :snork::rolleyespink:

I love the idea of a useful garden :blue thumb: Lots of fruit, veggies, herbs and eventually I'll have some chickens :chicken: Not in this garden though. They will be in my next garden... My Final House

Raspberries - I'm looking into it. Still in the research phase.
Blackcurrants - I hadnt even thought of that! Could be a nice addition to the garden :blue thumb:

For the record, have you come across Pineberries or Framberries before?

                            Hi Beckie,

Remember Rad is an innocent young man ( so he says  )

You don't want to be known as GC's " Mistress of Corruption " do ya :roflol:
