today started wood staining fence, thats looking much better now!

pricked out some shoots and spread them about, got AG and free campanula seeds.

Bought 4 seat pads and a cooling bag for taking food out into the garden.(how posh is that!)

stepping stone for infront of the catflap for the gang hut, as one of my cats wont walk on the wood mulch - got my windowbxes put up on the garage and my lavender, i noticed today, is growing back well so i didnt kill it when i pruned it yay!

got 2 more bags of wood mulch ordered, should be in friday then thats all the ground done.

also to add i am being bitten like mad in the garden, i think it must be from spiders as thats what i've noticed on my legs - could be those yellow big flys though -- just the joys of gardening though i suppose...

thanks stingo :) , but it's okay i think i'd feel guilty if they didnt grow lol! (it's very possible ;)
i think i'm about done for seeds so far tbh, just a case of waiting for things to flower then i can see where i'm at. Growing and looking after plants isnt my strong point (yet!!)
ask me again next year though! may be able to even do seed giveaways myself if i learn how!

I did sow my free AG seeds tonight as it had been raining all day, put them up the top of the lawn just infront of the long grass - not sure theyll grow, the seeds seemed so tiny! almost like dust.

And please tell me to stop spending money now!!!

All along I said i wouldnt be spending a penny, but bought today a parasol and base, a table cover and a dibber!

    yes a dibber lol!!!

so no more funds in the pot now - next time parents visit i think theyll bring me more wood stain (they insist and wont take a penny) and i know theres more catnip, and my dad is going to get me spring onion seeds (he has an allotment so gets things from an allotment shop i think) and probably more plants from theirs, but i dont want to overdo the plant side as i dont know enough, like for a biannual does that mean you just leave the pot as is one year hoping for flowers in it the next? whats a perennial? how do i remember whats what??
all this i need to learn.

but i reckon the garden is exceeding my first expectations - i'm actually very proud of it!!! i think i'd have to say it's the best garden i've ever had in my life - and is sooo no longer a nightmare but a pleasure!!
(now i never thought i'd say that haha)

spent more money... thats really it now though!

bought a tin of oxford blue non drip gloss (for garage door, green pots and the patio set)

a thermometer that i stuck on the garage window

    a charity shop blue pot

and from the pound shop they were selling 5 packs of bulbs for £3, they were to be planted may at the latest but i've taken a chance
got : gladioli peter pears, gladioli nova lux, freesia single mixed, montbretia mixed and sparaxis mixed ... not sure they'll flower this year though, my mum reckons next year they should come up - will await with baited breath!

and these bites are driving me crazy, even managed to get one on my bot! got 3 on my face and 2 on my arms - definitely not flea bites though so not sure what they are off, but so from the garden. think i may need to buy an insect repelent.

was wet today so planted out the bulbs.
and as the garden has taken on a dark blue theme i have to make new curtains, luckily got some dark blue floral material so will make them tomorrow as due to be wet again.

and tomorrow should get the last of my wood mulch so may brave the rain to get it done.
and thats it for now! :)

and took new pics of what i did today.

have now finished wood mulching and have added brick edging to give the place more structure. my plan is to grow maybe more cornflowers, between and over the bricks - i think that will look nice. the cornflowers i planted the other day are already seedlings thanks to all the rain, only took a few days to appear!
I also extended the lawn where it's to be and it's now getting to the point where i cant avoid doing the main mess pile for much longer

youre having a good giggle there to yourself tiggs!!

you gonna start your jungle sometime soon? seems to me you starting yours would give me the incentive to start mine... so come on lets get busy with our messes!!!!

have to report some sad news today - my shoots in the railway sleeper - all gone!!! the birds took them :( i'm TOTALLY gutted!

painted some more fencing, bought 2 plastic plates and a big dish for picnics in the garden, tried out parasol and filld the base with water - small steps make big changes!
