UPDATE - MOVED HOUSE, NEW GARDEN

thank you helen, we dont have to share a common path with anyone now so cant see any problems, plus in a much better neighbourhood where people dont put up with such nonsence.
I looked through my thread and could read my excitement in getting it done, and I feel a bit sad now, and will miss the size, but new place has so much more going for it - i'm sure i'll be just as excited getting the new one done.

This time round I have a tiny garden (around 20 x 20ft) which means I should be able to go for that bit extra expense and also actually get it finished!

It wont be a 'normal' garden, and will have height restrictions as I am going to have it all completely meshed off on top so will be just over 6ft hight

    Pointers
--- height restriction of 6ft so no trees
--- as only a tiny garden need illusion to make it look bigger
--- cat friendly (a pet cemetery area needed)
    --- low maintanace
    --- minimulist looking
    --- somewhere to sunbathe
    --- somewhere to sit

At the moment the garden is nearly a blank canvas. It's been neglected a long time. I need to get rid of cracked paving slabs and take down a wooden built area then it's basicaly putting up an internal 2nd fence and meshing the top off, then on with the fun bits.

(hi to tiggsandoscar if youre still around too!)

hey pro gard, I think you mean get my husband to get out there and get the pavings moved haha ;o) actually youre probably right, that will be my job! What does 'recon' mean??

Hi helen, well I dont know if anyone will be drooling but i am going to do my best. i think I have maybe, just maybe, got bigger ideas than the size allows.... and i kind of forgot i'll need supporting posts dotted around the garden, but it'll all work out in the end.... I tell myself!
    ------------------------------

Anyway just planning our job stages to follow, as I find it easier to have instructions set out as it were plus just want it done quickly now, not to mention my obsessive list making haha

STAGE 1 -- take down wood thing, break up concrete under wood thing, take up paving slabs, break up edging lips, remove weeds and rubbish then a trip to the tip.

STAGE 2 -- build internal fence, build back door, build cat gang hut and furnish, wood stain the lot and finish painting wall and pipes etc

STAGE 3 -- build the raised decking patio, fence and fitted wooden planters and corner seat, stain the lot and buy a small wooden patio set

STAGE 4 -- buy turf and make 2 joining circles, flatten the soil around it and edge with those wooden thingies and make fence at back, look into big stones to make rockery on grave

STAGE 5 -- buy round (if poss) paving stones and gravel and lay out to plan, buy big plant pots in browns and creams

STAGE 6 -- look into making brick ponds and try and make one!

STAGE 7 -- mesh the top off

STAGE 8 -- plants and lights, ornaments etc

    STAGE 9 -- and relax! it's finished -- enjoy!
