    Hello

    Thanks for the Replies.

I am very pleased with the result, there is just some tidying to do in the edges of the Borders but that can wait until the Lawn has established well enough to be walked on without worry.

This is how the Hard Landscaping should have been done all those Months ago.

This Journey has been an Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Worry filled 27 Month Ordeal, yes, I did say Ordeal.

I actually Crashed Yesterday Evening, anyone that suffers with the things mentioned above will know that it is not a nice experience

At least this Chapter is now over.

It will be, and is, a Joy to go out in the Garden and see this and not the previous Mess, now I can concentrate on enjoying the Garden.

Next for the Garden will be the Table and Benches, although, for Financial reasons that will be Next Year now, Bird Boxes etc.

I will also be adding some additional Planting to fill in some gaps, so, I will be asking for help.

I will keep this Thread Updated, just not with issues with the Hard Landscaping, hopefully :)

    Thanks

    Kevin

        Hi Kevin,

With the length of time it's taken to get the garden right you must be relieved and hopefully your stress levels will come down. You may have to wait a while for your garden furniture but I'm sure you must have something to park your bottom on and enjoy what you have outside. :)

        Hello @Sheal

Thanks, I am relieved that the Garden is finally how I envisaged it all that time ago, sans the Weeds that is, I hate Weeds.

Unfortunately, I have no Bum Sitting Implement available, the House is only small and Storage is limited so extra seating is not a priority, until you need it that is.

The best I can do is to sit on the Back Door Step and enjoy what I can, to be honest, that is probably the best place for me at the moment as it is in Shade and the Sun is too Hot for Me at this Time.

        Kevin

          Hi Kevin,

Well at least you have a back door step to sit and admire your garden. I sit on my back door step and admire the view...not the garden. :)

          Hello all

          I hope you are well.

And now for something completely different, finally :)

When the Garden was Planted in September 2019 there was a Sedum in this Bare Spot, however, it never took and with everything else I have been trying to cope with, I never addressed it:

          20220623_091145.jpg

          The area is surrounded by:

          Hydrangea 'Prezziosa'
          Penstemon 'Burgundy'
          Ninebark 'Burning Embers'
          Purple Sage
Ceanothus 'Concha' (on the Fence behind)

The area is South(ish) Facing and gets the Sun from approximately 10:30 to 14:30 before the Shadow from the House gets to it.

Any suggestions for a Plant that will fill out this area, will grow to less than 300mm Tall and have Red, Orange or Yellow Flowers and maybe Berries later on for the Birds?

          Thanks in advance

          Kevin

            Hello all

I have managed to get Photos of the Area at the Side of the House and the Front Garden.

Side of the House, outside Back Door:

It looks lovely Kevin. That looks like some good, healthy turf that your landscapers laid too.

                  Hello @Sheal

Thanks, I was actually pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Turf.

                  The Turf they Laid is:

                  Top Shot Lawn Turf

It is not cheap but it is well worth it.

                  Kevin

                    Hi Kevin,

Yes the turf does look good quality. There's no point in buying cheap if it's full of weeds or has weak growth. As with most things nowadays, you get what you pay for.

                      Hello @Sheal

Speaking of Paying for, I have just Received the Invoice :thud:

I will Pay for the Originally Quoted Work Tomorrow and then the Outstanding Balance for the Additional Work on 28 July as agreed.

At least I will know where I stand with my Bank Balance :)

The landscapers were prompt with the invoice Kevin. By your reaction you needed to steady yourself and take a few deep breaths. :) On the up side the work that's been worrying you for a long while is now finished and you can move on from the experience.
