    Hello @Sheal

I would like to think that Mum would like it too :)

I included some of Mums favourite Plants when designing the Planting, specifically, Iris and Peony, both of which are doing very well.

    Thanks

    Kevin

Hello @Kevin Cowans. I must say your garden is beautiful. I was touched by your mentioning your dear mum. Of course she would have loved it.
Mine taught me all I know and inspired me to make my garden as good as possible and I garden as a thank you to her. When people going by make favourable comments about my efforts I almost burst with pride!

Maybe your mum does see how you have been working to transform the garden kevin, who knows ?

I think. of my mum and dad often specially when I'm working in the garden,
My dad taught both of us a lot about growing many of these veg :peapod::pepper::leek::potato::parsnip::wheelie::tomato:and many more traditional veg and my mum taught me such a lot about the delicate side of seed sowing and everything included in the flower garden:hapflowers2:. Its a comfort and almost as if they are next to me and looking over at what I'm doing.
It's as though I can hear them advising me all over again.

But one thing I can't help thinking time and time again
:gardening:mum could take cuttings they would take.where as mine just flopped and died.

But now many of mine do take, even the shrubs !!!!!

Maybe it's because they are from mum and dad's garden ,and I feel the need to have something to keep reproducing , but then again I like to think they have both passed down their own green fingers , leaving me to carry on part of themselves !!!

        :pepper::tomato:

          Hello @Purple Streaks

          Thanks, I totally agree :)

Some of the Iris Ensata have now Opened:

          20240603_143239.jpg

They contrast really well with the Arum Lily :)

I had to lift the Arum Lily in Autumn Last Year to level the Bed after the Landscaping resulted in the Bed being above the Paving.

I am relieved that the Arum Lily have recovered.

          Thanks

          Kevin

Yes , They contrast the lilies beautifully it's a shame though that the iris are only out for a few days.
Still it's a good reason for buying more isn't it :spinning:?

I have just planted a calla type lily that would go perfectly with both the iris and the calla lily ..fingers crossed it won be long before I shall see this in flower .!!!!

            Hello @Purple Streaks

Sorry, I missed your Reply, again

The Iris Ensata seem to be lasting quite well, they are still going strong :)

This is how the Back Garden is looking as of a few Minutes ago:

            1#1$20240616103604636.jpg

The Buddleia 'Buzz' Sky Blue is starting to Flower, as are the Phormium Flower Spikes.

All in all, everything is looking Good, except the Clematis Montana 'Mayleen' but it is Growing, it will just take some Time to get going.

            Thanks

            Kevin

              Hello @Sheal

I have not seen you around for a while, I Hope you are Well.

Thanks, it has taken a while to get the Garden to this point after the Last Year

It seems to be doing Well now though :)

I have an Appointment Tomorrow, Thursday, the Start of the Journey to having Cataract Surgery on My Right Eye :)

Hopefully, once I have the Right Eye done it will resolve the Issues I have had since I had the Left Eye done in August of Last Year, including Headaches, Dizziness and Balance Problems.

I have been told that it should so here's Hoping.

Hopefully, the Garden will not suffer This Year as it did Last Year.

              Thanks

              Kevin

                Hi Kevin,

Yes I'm well thank you. Things have been a bit hectic for me over the last couple of months and I'll reveal to all here in a few weeks. :)

Now your garden is in good shape you can start to think about the furniture again.

I hope all goes well with your eye appointment tomorrow. I too imagine your sight will settle down once the surgery is done. It must be difficult for both eyes to adjust when just once has been done.

                  Hello @Sheal

Good to know everything is alright with You.

The Garden Furniture is becoming a Sore Point, as if it was not already

I was Planning for it This Year, however, Plans Never go to Plan, something else came up :wallbanging:

At this rate I will be able to get the Garden Furniture when I receive My Local Government Pension at the Age of 60, in 2026.

I had My Initial Appointment with Ophthalmology Yesterday and I have been Referred for the Cataract Surgery on My Right Eye :)

I have another Appointment on 3 July for Biometry Scans, next will be Pre Op Assessment and then the Cataract Surgery :)

I need to have more Tests as, due to My Autism, I need to have the Cataract Surgery under a General Anaesthetic as there is no way I could have it done under a Local.

                  All Fun

                  Kevin

                    Hi Kevin,

Why is it good plans seem to get delayed and the bad things always take over? :frown: Two years will go sooner than you think for the furniture, it's just a shame you have to wait that long.

That's good news about your surgery and I hope it goes well when the time comes. I remember you saying about a general anaesthetic before your first eye was done. Hopefully you'll be a little more relaxed about it this time.

                    Hello all

Just a Quick Update on the Garden:

                    1#1$20240703111512581.jpg

It all looks to be Growing Well.

The Clematis 'Montana; is starting to Grow Well, so hopefully it should not be too long before it starts covering the Fences.

The Ceanothus is starting to get some New Leaves after it lost some Leaves after Yellowing so that is Good, I was worried that there may have been an issue.

The Lawn Edges are looking so much better after Cutting them with Scissors as I am unable to use the Half Moon Edger or Shears due to the way the Paving and Setts have been Laid.

I really need to get some proper Lawn Edging Scissors as the ones I used removed the Skin from the Back of My Fingers, not Good, and Painful.

                    @Sheal

Sorry to hear that you are having to Move, and that you have not recovered fully from your Shoulder Injury.

I look forward to seeing your Garden at your New Home.

                    Take Care

                      Hi Kevin,

It's good to hear you are happy with your garden - it does look good.

Thank you. :) The shoulder injury alone wouldn't be too much of a problem, but with other health issues it makes sense to move and not have to worry about maintaining my current home and garden.

Yes, there will be pictures of the new garden as soon as possible. It's very different to the one here and I think you will like it.
