I'm glad to hear that your cataracts were successfully removed! I had mine done 4 years ago and have really enjoyed my improved vision. Do note that they must leave some of the old tissue around the new lens to hold it in place and it can sometimes try to grow over the lens causing "foggy" vision. I just took a friend to have his eyes lasered to clear this and it was unbelievably fast - 2 minutes per eye. And they needed only one type of drops for after.

He had his eyes done just before me and I've had not fogginess started so it is different with everyone. I guess so far I've been lucky and I hope you are too!

The garden isn't going to grow legs and run away so it will be waiting for you next spring.

Cheers and glad to see you again :)

Your garden looks lovely. I am so glad you too can now contemplate it as it deserves to be! As they say in France: Bonne continuation!

Welcome back Kevin! Shame about your ceanothus, I hope it regrows come spring. It's a pain in the bum having no green bin collections from late November until March isn't it? Right through the main cutting back/pruning/clearing season. I bet whoever designed the system here isn't a gardener (or maybe the kind that just cuts the grass and sticks a few bedding plants in).

        Hello all

Thanks for all the Replies, it is appreciated.

This is how the Back Garden looks currently, not too bad considering I have not been able to get much done:

        5#1$20241209111337861.jpg

You can just about see the Ceanothus poking its Arms out in the Left Edge of the Photo.

I actually Phoned Doncaster Council This Morning and asked about the Green Bin Collections.

They told me that there are no other Services, i.e. Paid for etc. and that if I have a little Garden Waste then I could put it in the Grey Bin.

They also said that I could take the Waste to the Recycling Centre which is not an Option for me due to my Health.

I Cut up all of the pruning's from the Wind Damaged Ceanothus This Morning and the Green Bin is roughly 3/4 Full, so, roll on March.

        All Fun

        Kevin

Look on the bright side Kevin, at least we don't have to pay extra on top of the council tax for our garden waste collections.

          Hi Kevin,

It's good to have you back and I'm pleased that your cataract surgery went well. :)

Your garden being fenced has given it some protection from the wind even though the Ceanothus has been damaged. It looks pretty good in the image above and shouldn't take you long to get it back as you would like it.
