Yes this is my other hobby, I built my first engine when I was 70 in 98. I had to get rid of that engine because I had to many, I just can't stop building them. It takes about a year to build one but the little red one in this photo only took 5 months. My wife is quite enthusiastic , but the children & grandchildren aren't all that bothered.

Really beautifull work and thanks for showing us all!

Now, if you really want to get 'nerdy' you have to show us the workshop 'cos going by the reaction so far I suspect GC has a few closet steam buffs on board just waiting for the chance :D

That sort of work makes me wonder where im going wrong, we have just had our garden ripped to pieces and now we have to rebuild it nicely, its only been a month of digging etc and im fed up already, its cold and windy and spring just isnt springging, i want flowers and warm sunny days and that veg plot shows a dedication i think i am missing, i hope i can do even a quarter as well, You are a real inspiration Ewel.

Very tidy and healthy garden Ewal, always good to see. As you are a steam man do you engineer your own stuff, lathe etc.

Yes I have a workshop & would you believe it its in what was the front room, there are 2 lathes & a milling machine The only other item is the freezer. I also stole 10ft off the living room for an assembly shop, my wife thought this was a good idea as the first engine was assembled on the living room carpet. By the way I also knocked a hole in the rear of the house so the engines can run into the house.I will post some photos later. Ewal
