Thanks Bob, it certainly hasn't been easy. But it's strange, all that hard work now seems a distant memory, I still can't quite believe it myself the changes we've made. It's a pity I don't have some pics of the garden how it was when we moved in. Anyway, as promised, some more pics......

I'm sorry they're not really in the right order, but hopefully you'll see the layout.
I reckon it's going to be next year now, when it all starts to come together. As they say, these things don't come overnight. Just wish I had more patience !
    Cheers...freddy

DEE, a good showman never shows all his tricks at once :D
Just Kidding. Still haven't decided overall how it's going to be, but one thought is to smash out a bit of concrete and put in a climber (next to the shed). I'd like to put down some gravel (did I say that already?), but not the 'ordinary' stuff. Maybe something in white ? It's all in the melting pot really.
      Cheers...freddy.

Quite amazing freddie. In someways it looks something like the garden I visited yesterday. After a while i had the feeling that this garden had its own climate and somehow just being there was something special.
Check it out here if you have not already. You may get futher inspiratiion to complete yours.

I think your garden will someday have the same feeling I had yesterday with Davids and Cynthias.
Me...I have to settle with my little veg plot and I am quite happy with doing that, but I do like to look, and appreciate other peoples efforts.

what a beuitful garden freddy. I love how the path curves, and your arches. I was going to have a bamboo but everyone told me they get out of hand but i am interested in yours so will look around for one well done with the garden as it is well thought out and is really fantastic.

I have bamboo, there are two types, one that spreads by sending shoots underground then poping up, and the other is what I have, clump forming. It just gets fatter and fatter every year.

Hi Freddy. This is the first time I've seen your garden, and it's wonderful. I really like the winding path and the sections it meanders through. It looks quite narrow, but then it is very long too, and every inch of it is nicely planted. It certainly has that warm and welcome appearance to it. I can see that you've put a great deal of hard work into producing something that you so obviously enjoy. Well done...

Thanks strawman. As you probably know, gardens take some time to get right (if they CAN ever be right) and I still have plenty to do/learn. I need to thin out/replace some of my plantings this/next year, but that's all part of the fun and learning process.

          Cheers...freddy.

A great example of what you can do with a thin but long garden Freddie. Looks wonderful and a great oasis for you.

The winding path is much better than a straight one.
