Gates should be erected today, as I finally finished painting them last night.

Also I've just sold off my current garden shed on eBay and am now awaiting the arrival of my new one, which is due in less than a weeks time.

Curious (i.e. Nosey!!) to know the difference between old and new sheds?

Old shed currently isn't brilliant. Am fed up with the other half complaining about how s**t it is as well.

The new one is slightly bigger and looks more like a potting shed than just a shed for storage. Am hoping to be able to move my potting bench in there too, thus freeing up more space in the greenhouse to grow some cucumbers. The door will face towards the house, rather than be at the side like the current one is. It means I will have to dig out a path across another bed which is currently lawn in front of the shed.

This is the new shed (from their website). Got it half price as well. I like the idea of sitting in there by the window, while I watch the birds bicker on the feeding station too.

As part of some rebuilding work here I am to get a potting shed apparently - attached to the "industrial" part of the house (utility / scullery etc). Banished I call it ... I'm much happier potting on the kitchen table, can't see any reason whatsoever why I should pot somewhere else :(

Never had a scullery before either, but apparently bringing winter veg into the kitchen, caked in soil, wearing my wellies, is nothing like as character building as washing the freezing cold veg in an outside, freezing cold, scullery ... :(

Dunno why we have Vinyl flooring in the kitchen then - might as well have best quality Wilton !

That's probably because you are getting a bit old to be cavorting below-stairs!

Where I was brought up the Scullery was a combination of Ktichen and drying area, or where the washing was done. :dunno: :

Kristen you can make the most of this! Request hot and cold running water, electricity of course, a plug in radiator or two, radio, tea making facilities/microwave and if you're not in the other halves best books a foldaway bed too! Now that sounds good to me! Oh, yes, a lock on the door as well and you can shut the world out whenever you wish. It's a gift horse!

Hadn't thought of that ... so then I can lock Mrs K in there and carry on potting-up using the kitchen table - as before, eh?!!
