my joints are aching

    Ouch - I ache in sympathy - I would say your lubrication was well earned. Think I would prefer the internal sort after that lot - bet it went down a treat :D

    re gloves - I take opened and unused gloves from work (surgeon's type that would otherwise be binned) and use them when I'm gardening but then I'm used to wearing them at work anyway so don't notice the diff! At work, when it's mega-hot, I've held up my hands, fingers pointing down, and seen a fluid level of perspiration in the glove fingers! Now that gives you prune skin and it stings when you take the gloves off! Happily that doesn't often happen in the garden!

    Knee pads keep the knees warmer & reduce the pains. Also, consider puting the new van on hold & getting a hot tub instead. It's gone to the top of my 'wants' list this winter. :cool:
