I don't really have much jewellery. My ears aren't pierced and the necklace, bracelet and ring I treasure I wear constantly. To me there are much more things I would consider treasure that would easily fill this box. I just thought I would refer to it as a jewellery box in the thread title, as that's what it originally was going to be, then realised I had more mementos from life than I did jewellery.

I have lots of room for a few more bits of jewellery though ;)

Thank you very much. Not quite sure what the next woodworking project is but we moved into our new home with very little furniture to fill it. Over time we hope to build almost all our furniture, including our kitchen, so the house will be completely our own.

Thank you to everyone's lovely comments. This has really cheered up the OH who is feeling a bit low at the moment.

Drag him into GC, we'll sort him out, especially with skills like that:dbgrtmb:

You could always keep your lucky spoon in the box.

He has made a great job of that box, nice traditional work:blue thumb:

:scratch:would have liked to have seen the pencil marks/ score marks removed from the dovetails and the hinge housings though.;):)

It's just great to see craftmanship is still alive. Loved the partial view of the wooden handled tennon saw - I've one just like it and it was passed to me by my father.

I'm sure you'll treasure your box for years, and know it was made with love with you in mind.
