    Hi Folks, quick update...............

Holly went in yesterday to have her wound restitched, things didn't go quite as well as planned, the vet had hoped just to staple it, but couldn't because the old wound had torn so badly they had to trim it it make a fresh one, so as it stands the top and bottom are stitched and they hoping the middle might just find a way of knitting itself together, she has quite a heavy bandage on but we can still see blood seeping through, she's to go tomorrow morning again to have the dressings changed which i think will be a regular thing for a while, sorry i haven't contributed more to the site of late but between work and nursing holly i just haven't had time :(

Hi Borrowers, There's no real change with Holly, we're still going to the vets every 2 days to have her dressings changed, it's not really healing that well, back tomorrow afternoon to see if there's been any improvement over the weekend, thanks for asking :)

Thanks LMRR, she was back at the vets on monday they've said they see an improvement so it's looking like she's finally starting to heal, back tomorrow to have the dressings changed again, it's quite comical when i take her now, she just sort of rolls her eyes then pulls me into the vets as if to say "right lets get this over with" bless her

Here she is looking a bit perkier with her multicolour bandages :thumb:

    Good Evening G.Cers :)

    Thanks for all the wishes,

Holly has been to the vets a couple of times since i last logged in, she's had the stitches from the top and bottom taken out and over the last week the open wound has been getting treated with honey of all things!! seemingly it's an age old remedy and all in all it's improved immensley, I was dubious :cnfs: but there must be something in it :thmb:

I'm glad to hear Holly's on the mend, as for the honey treatment my wifes aunt had her leg ulcers treated with honey and it worked better than any of the conventional treatments.

    Afternoon all

Well i'm pleased to say after weeks and weeks of trundelling up and down to the vets every 2 days (and a much lighter pocket! :D) Holly has finally made a full recovery and got all the dressings off, and it's all looking great.
[IMG] for all the good wishes, human and canine, everyone sent her
