My shame .........

    That fence looks a bit high, the max permissableheight is 6 foot, although you are alowed higher with trellis.

    Yep it was 8 foot at the time i took the pic ive trimmed it since :thumb: i did order 6 foot but they ran out :rolleyes:

    Wow Spud I can get 3 for 15 quid from them.. I ve been robbed. What do they mean when its barerooted though? Are they a reliable company

    Well basically there not in compost so when you get them you need to pot em up straight away ive never had probs with the company and neither did my gramps and he used them for years

    Bare rooted means they are sent with the roots wrapped in plastic/ newspaper with a minimum of compost or sawdust, they need potting up and or hydrating imediatly upon delivery. This is opposed to being suplied potted.

    So am I better paying more and buying them potted? Its not a problem potting them up straight away. My other proble with home delivery is I am never in I am always at work.

    Im happy enough to buy them bare rooted and they have come on great cos they looked like 2 bits of twigg when they came ! is there anyone else you could get it sent to and then pick it up from them ?

    Going back to fences. I have a 20 yr old wooden fence and posts. There are about 9 panels. The panels seem fine however the posts are well rotten. Is it easier to have the lot replaced or just the posts which I think are in concrete.

    id do the lot if i was you and if there is a cut down pannel at one end move it to the other that way you can cut the posts off at ground level and leave the concrete

    thanks :D i dont usually do this type of fence an im very pleased how well its going due to the slope of the garden :)

    Well not had chance to do anything this week:( an its raining now so i aint haveing a go tonight lol
