Good afternoon all. It past exactly two months since my last post here. Quite challenging time, first extreme temperatures and drought, and now extreme rain. I done all major jobs, but many little things are still on field. I'll try to post some photos this weekend. Of course, start of the school in September didn't help at all.

@Allotment Boy, I'm content with some veggies, like potatoes, onions and turnip, but other like carrots and peppers are completely disaster.

 

Hi @Ante1, great to hear from you. Yes, I guessed that the new school year would be keeping you busy.
I think we have all had a very varied season this year. I did well with beans, beetroot, brassicas and greenhouse tomatoes but my potatoes are a disaster this year only 1/3 of the normal maincrop are usable, all my squash and pumpkins are much smaller than usual. Yet my old cooking Apple tree at home has produced a huge amount. The soft fruit early in the year was good, too. I am aware that I am only growing for myself, and my family is not dependent on it.
As we say, there is always next year.

Thank you all. Looks like it dear @Victoria, some veggies I sell, and most are for my family, lady which helps me sometimes and friends.

 

Good Sunday morning to all. Autumn is finally arrived, with rain, wind and falling leaves. I was twice this week at cottage and done few small jobs. It's coming to its end, so there is not much to do. Last Thursday I bought dozen pansies and two peony, and planted them yesterday. Quite a bargain, only 50p for pansies and 3₤ for each peony.
