      Good afternoon all.
It's already November, and here is still sunny and quite warm for the time of the year. Due to high wind last few days soil is dry, so I watered my front garden this morning and vegetables at cottage. I still have some veggies on the field, parsnip, spinach, leeks, lettuce, black radish, radicchio, broccoli and chilies. Now few photos from the last two weeks. Hope it will not be too much. :)

Hi @Songbird, glad to see you. How are you? I know that I'm preparing for Christmas. Yesterday I checked all my light, and ordered some replacement.

@On the Levels, if I have enough medlars I make jam just of them. Otherwise, I mix them with apples and also make jam.

@Ante1 ,we are doing okay thanks. Have basically put the garden to bed now although we still have flowers aplenty which is most odd at this time of year. Have planted out a lovely Yes tree which has been growing in a planter for years, so hoping it will spread its roots now and grow away happily. Trying to attract some birds back into the garden after digging up a large Griselinia shrub.
Hope school is being kind to you. Soon be “light time” again for you. :) 23 ( grandchild) is certainly looking forward to it! :hapydancsmil:

Hi @Ante1 , good to see you are still getting produce. I am still getting raddish, cabbage, chard, beetroot etc. I gave up on the last of the tomatoes in the greenhouse today, and replaced them with some plugs of mizuna, for some winter salads. It's not cold here but very grey, so lack of sun means little to no growth on many things now.

Your garden is so productive, it never seems to stop!
What will you do with that big black radish?

Hi @Busy-Lizzie. I usually grate black radish with other veggies and make salad, or add it to stew. Black radish is very healthy vegetable, and you can make syrup which helps with cough and lungs problems. First you cut off top of the radish and scoop out the flesh. Then fill it with sugar and leave 24 hours. Sugar will soak all moist from radish and will be liquid. Then you can bottle it and keep in the fridge.

Good evening all. A lot of things happened since my last post here, but it's a new year and we will have a fresh start. As you know, we had a lot of snow in the hills, but now is all gone. It will be more for sure. As always, I sowed chilies and peppers at first day of the year. Today I was at cottage and done first small harvest, parsnips. My next job wasn't so pleasant, but land and plants will have benefit of that. I started to collecting horse poo. After all that I had a nice and long walk in the woods. Gardening season is slowly beginning. I have a short trip to do in February, and rest of my time will be dedicated to land and plants. Photos of course:

First harvest, although it's planted last year
