I have a feeling the yellowing is natural, because its about 12 years old, Its still alive because its flowering..What do you think?

    Yeah, it looks OK.
But if its been in a contaier for 12yrs its probably very potbound.
Have you thought of planting it out and getting a new one for the container.

    Hi Pete,
Its Planted in the soil under the decking, i didnt want to risk loosing it by digging it up, the pots just for show really, and stability, because it was going a bit sideways before we started the new garden...Hope this makes sense, haha

Dee, love the corner. It's looking really good. I just love photos of light thro' leaves.
A couple of suggestions, if I may. A Canna Musifolia grows 8 foot high with big leaves and is as exotic as a banana, IMHO, but is easier to overwinter. Just cut it down in late autumn and overwinter the pot in a frost free garage. And Pseudo Sasa, a broad leaved bamboo, in a pot cos it's invasive, will grow 6-7 foot high, looks good and is hardy. And thirdly, OK I lied, a lemon tree is a must, but overwintering is a problem without a heated greenhouse.

    Thanks Nik,
I Still haven,t got my Banana, surely they should be in the GCs by now:confused: The corner is crying out for something tall, I have an orange canna just coming up, The bamboo sounds great, but ive read they can burst through The pot !!!! A Lemon Tree, Yes Please...id love one but my greenhouse is unheated, The Garden centres around here are rubbish, I ned to persuade the hub to take me outside of Newcastle I think..

Dee, if you constantly prune a Lemon tree, and I mean snip a little bit off every week, you can keep it small so you can bring it into the house for the winter. It will blossom indoors, produce lemons, and perfume the room with lemon verbena smells. Some say this has aphrodisiac properties, which is why I have to keep mine in the greenhouse. :(

    I Didn,t mind Paying £30.00. for this!!!

The shed door opens out to the fence, so a planter was out of the question, besides the hub moans, "I can,t get into the shed"
The fence was Crying out for something, I spotted this at Peter Barrats,Last week, So I bought it for my birthday;) I love It...[IMG]
