    Great idea to look at the garden from above Bilbo! It gives a totally different perspective. Excellent for planning where to put things and how they will fit in the whole picture!!

      Sounds like a great idea; I've seen it done with ornamentals on a few programmes on tv; I'm no expert on building things so wouldn't know the correct way to go about reinforcing a roof, but surely a few extra beams and perhaps vertical supports in the shed should suffice for some strawberries.

      The flat roof on the out building on our house is full of gravel and the sedums just self seeded from somewhere; I guess someone who is in the building trade would be able to advise how much weight such a roof could safely take without reinforcement and also how best to reinforce it.
