    I still keep coming back to a wrench .. is that an American term?

    Maybe a beer bottle / wine opener ... I don't know what girls have in their tool boxes .. I had wrenches and screwdrivers (not the drinks!). Had to ask t'other half now as a wrench is a spanner in the UK and I'm talking about the adjustable thingy!

    Ill sunny you nick i think it might be a shifting spanner but now i have said that what would you be doing with one of them working on windows. lol sorry just noticed what you wrote we are on the same wave lenght here but whether it is the right answer is another matter altogether so come on nick break it to us gently are we right

    It's awfully clean and shiney. What are those things called that hold things in place? Clamps?
