    You ought to have a programme on TV - "Nick's knick knacks"

    Best guess, but the hole in the top rules it out, would be a fisherman's priest.

    Without the hole, I would have called it a butter paddle, with the hole, looks like either a slingshot or the end of a bow.

    The object is upside down and you are looking at the under side.A thinish stick would have been pushed into the hole.

    I've used the modern plastic decoys Liz, but gave up shooting a while ago.

    Not certain that I've guessed correctly yet - waiting for Paladin's yea or nay
