    It's a clog.
Almost setting fire to straw on the Mill floor when Granny was making sparks with the hob nails and dropped from her foot as she sat eating jam spread on to hard cheese for tea!So she told me :D And had a whack for both :(

Well done, jjordie! That was a difficult one although Pal said it would be easy!

Lovely story, Pal! Hmmm, jam on hard cheese ... they eat pumpkin jam on goat's cheese here! [IMG] [IMG] I never thought it was a toy but pleased to hear she had two of them! :D

rosa,it was very small but looks bigger due to the heavy swelling of the sole where the metal has rusted. Granny was about 5 years old and lived with her Granny so she thought they were probably handed down from one of her Aunties.

Hard indeed!..She was in service at the age of ten in Weston-super-Mare.
It seems the Housekeeper was not nice, and one day told gran and another young maid to move a large sideboard and clean under it,they managed to move it and found a half crown underneath. Thing was!..the coin was not as dusty as the floor,it had been put there to see if they would steal it.
Granny took the coin to the Blacksmiths , got him to punch a hole in it,asked him for a nail and hammer, and nailed the coin to the floorboards!! :D :D She arrived back home the following weekend [IMG]

Strange drawer! A sun dial?

Or perhaps a very wicked chopping instrument?

Granny's Clog: I always look at the objects but haven't ever been able to get one right before.
    Feeling rather clever :D

Haven't a clue what the next one is - some sort of blade or scythe - but you wouldn't keep a scythe in a drawer so it can't be that
