    Looking at the bottom where the holes are, it looks very thin material to me, maybe formed from sheet metal with ornaments soldered on?

    A gargoyle? No, that would fall under DAG's wall ornamentation. Something on a Victorian child's toy .. that something, I just don't know what! :D

    Perhaps we need some more G&T to oil the wheels, or in my case Dandelion and Burdock! :D :D

    Yes, a G&T sounds like a jolly good idea as I'm almost finished cleaning the kitchen top to bottom, side to side, for our luncheon visitors on Monday!
