In the new dawn of day, the second picture now looks like a teapot lid, but can't make the connection with the metal thing. Or is it part of one of these things you put tea leaves in?

It now looks like a pomander but you wouldn't have that in your kitchen!

How about one of those thingies one (not I) puts in pies to let steam escape or whatever?

Nice shot of your hands photographing it, Pal! :D

Bottom of a tea bag holder / soap tray?

Do we stil have a connection with tea? A tea caddy?

    A garlic holder?

One of these things (which I DO have) that you stick flowers in to keep them upright in the vase and the metal thing helps water them? Whew!

I have a tree looking affair for rings at the sink but I don't take my rings off.

You could get in trouble like Stuart Little II putting your rings by the sink and end up in the drain!
