Haven't a clue why anyone would make one that shape, but I have another one with a local Town name and supplier of lemonade on."Chipping Norton& Hitchmans"
Too usefull to throw away I suppose.
I remember it was filled with tea in the morning, stopped with a cork and drank at "wet your whistle" time :D ... Memories of G-Dad sat atop a hay stack taking a slug will be with me forever ;)

[IMG] [IMG] Me of ALL people should know what it is as we have one, but ours is frosted and perhaps a wee bit smaller! Me and my "stone" theory and at one time I thought of glass because of bubbles! [IMG] A friend of ours* found it (I think in High Wycombe)and because we sort of collect antiques he gave it to us. We have it on display in a marble egg holder on our Welsh dresser ... however, this dresser is in the Isle of Wight and I am in Portugal. [IMG] It will be coming back with us in October so I'll post a photo of it then. T'other half didn't guess it either. :D Besides one of these lemonade bottles, we have a lovely stone ginger beer keg from Berkhamsted.

    * This friend always called me "mate" ... a discussion from a recent thread about gals and guys ... or is that guys and dolls?! :D

Am I impressed, or am I impressed, Pal. Beautiful collection! I particularly like the ruby glass which I collected in The States ... do they call it ruby glass here? (there?) I found one of the tiny little bottles to the right of the one with the label in the front row in the garden here when we were digging around and another little wee one (assume medicine bottles), and I use them as vases ... obviously for tiny flowers or buds. Lovely collection! [IMG]

A gardening goggle / face protector ... if there is such a thing? T'other half says a whistle

PS Re the R White's bottle, Pal, there was a depot at the bottom of the High Street in Aylesbury (Bucks) may still be, but believe the factory was in Tring (Herts).
