    I just got back in and was going to guess the thing on a fireplace where you adjust the air-intake, but that is obviously out now.

    How about the air in-& out-put on an AC / heater?

    Sorry, rosa, sweetie, no it's not a car grill nor an Aga cooker. Funny, it was my cooker Sis guessed in a PM and now she's saying the fireplace or a/c.

    Since it is a gardening item, how about some sort of watering device as I can see a hose attached to it now.
