    A wheelie bin it is!.....Liberated from a County that uses them for refuse ;) ...and now a water butt in a County that doesn't .

    Sorry Dizi...If you look above the bin you can just make out a pipe running under the lid,it is connected to the gutter on my shed.
    I let it fill and dip my cans in to fill them but if water gets short I can wheel the bin to the end of my very long garden..try and tip it on to its wheels when it's full and you get soaked as the water pours over the side that's why it has to be only half full!! :D

    Also it would be quite heavy when full, otherwise you could seal the lid shut. You could also install a tap at the bottom and a length of transparent pipe to show the level. [​IMG]

    Wow, thanks Rosa, I would be grateful if you could go again as it is my Mum's birthday today so I won't be on for a while and I don't have anything pre-prepared.
