    Yes ...and I'm fairly sure that I had one too years ago and ended up binning it when the biro ink ran out.

    :D Spot on Paladin...... :D :D It is made from 2 different kinds of Amber, with a metal insert for the cigarette, so that the Amber is protected. The decoration is actually gold..!! :eek: :D

    This came from Sudley Castle Winchcombe in Glos.I found it in situ but not in use.I was carrying out work as a welder,not glazing ;)

    Sort of quadrant for transferring horizontal movement to vertical (or vice versa) so used for.................. remote bellpush to servants quarters?

    In one DAG!!! :cool:
    The darn thing was still in the wall when I was installing a new wire and it was "loaded",so to speak,and when I exposed it the wire whipped out and cut me across the face....It was lucky to still be intact after I gave it a dressing down with a lump hammer :mad: ......... :D
    If you visit the Castle(house really) you will see the new wrought iron pull handle and cable to the right of the main door. ;)
