    The chocolate croissant seems to have disappeared but I think it is food related.

    Let's start eliminating. It is modern (not majolica) so - a pizza plate (for chocolate pizzas). As you will realise we are stymied.

    As a retired doctor the only thing that springs to mind is 'a sick bowl'. But a fancy one. :eek:
