    Firstly,I think it's actually a mussell shell.

    And secondly,Marley is close enough..because I'm not sure what it was used for.I keep my dear Mums silver pendant in it.

    I found the shell in a box among some old bottles I was given and almost threw it away.

    cannot belive that some incredible genius made that mussell shell into a most fabulous box, the best i have ever seen, now paladin you will have antiques experts after you all over the uk, iff they log into this post, truly amazing. [​IMG]
