Ok, back to the brick thing. OK, so educate me, what is a lorry driver and other than delivering bricks for building material needs, why would one deliver bricks?
And other than a corner foundation marker why is are you eyeing a 55 year old brick to be special?


OK, guess for the new---the front iron door opening of a outside wood burner.

Redstar. Lorry Driver =Truck Driver. At that time the bricks were loaded and unloaded by hand on to flat bed lorries/trucks(in that brick yard they were actually American Dodge's,left hand drive ),many of them went to Cities such as Bristol,Birmingham ,Coventry,rebuilding after the War and creating New Towns too.
The Brick was embossed with the Crown and R for Elizabeth Regina...Our Queen,Crowned in 1953. 55 years ago and also the year of my birth.

 

So all the bricks were embossed like that in that year, or just special bricks. And unload by hand, oh that must hurt.

 

Outside thingy?:dh:...What about....Wheel barrow?..Bench? Seat?
