    Yes it's a spade!

    My clay spade is probably around 100 years old and looks like it was made by the village blacksmith, and together with numerous other villagers who also possess them I have no excuse not to go and dig my heavy clay plot even when it's it's sopping wet:

    Owls, hmmm they could be beachcraft subjects as you get sea owls, but with those beautiful blue eyes I'm guessing FISH (as seals have brown eyes).
