    Ours is a bit strange as t'other half decided he'd spray it black to make it less conspicuous and ran out of paint after the lid .... that was only four months ago so no doubt he'll find some more black paint soooooooon ........

    In a way you're quite, but not very, close. The material is more or less the same, but the scale is quite different.

    (Where would I find a CLEAN doormat at this time of night? No chance at any time of day)

    Although I've not seen one that colour, is it a scrubby-type thingy you use for washing up?

    A little scrubber? Noooo.

    It's actually a fairly uniform black. The colour doesn't show true as I took it under tungsten lighting without correcting the colour balance.

    What you see is only one part of the 'thing'. To use it as intended you would have the other part.

    It is all black. The stripes are due to the way the light was reflected and me taking the pic in a hurry.:oops:

    Think - Dipsacus:scratch: and look at the close-up.
