:D I thought the hydrangea was a philadelphus, the skimmia was a hebe, no idea about the juniper, and didn't even see the bamboo! Think I've still got a lot to learn! Oh, and I thought there was some periwinkle in with the pansies...

I thought there was something else in there with the pansies, as well, Claire75, but they are obviously pale blue pansy buds.

Hehehe - it is so hard to be completely objective, and trying not to peek at others answers! What a relief to see the answers though - lessens the pain of not knowing!

Superb quiz. I will see if i can get a group of 10 plants together - (my problem is knowing myself what they are!!) - but it may be a few days (tons on) at least. So if anyone else can come up with a cultivated crew, that would be fab!

    Thanks roders - much fun!

Here's another challenge. I went to the garden centre today and bought seven plants, two of which are duplicated, therefore five unique species.

You can identify the plants if you like, they are all common (maybe not the ones in front but known there) and the trailing geranium in the background isn't included.

What I want you to tell me is ... how much did I pay for this lot? I'll help ... the last figure is a 5.

If you'd like to identify anything else in the background, feel free to do so! I'm putting up two pics because I'm not sure which is the clearest for you.

Good guess, roders my dearest, but no.

You have two right. I obviously didn't say the English Lavender in the pot to the right is not included but I did say the Geranium in the background is excluded.

As to the price ... wrong. I'll take Euros or Pounds ... money is money ... I can convert! :D

roders has guessed that one right! :D Other than the ones in front, these are all common plants in any garden. [IMG]

Any idea on the price of the lot?
