    I agree that there is information required when opening a new type of account but if it is for an existing account it should not be necessary. With my current accounts, I have had them for decades and never get asked for any info now although I progressed from earning to being retired.

    Fixed interest term accounts get rolled over into new accounts at the end of their term and I'm never asked for any info or signatures. It is all done over the phone as I don't do online banking and never go into a branch.
