    "Point the slabs using ..."

We had some slabs laid recently and the guy used some white cement for the pointing. The result is not "white" as such, but I think it looks very smart, compared to normal "grey" pointing.

Kristen, Agree but with white cement a lot of care is needed as it sets stronger than opc and is very easy for the innexperienced to get stains.

With the right colurs though white cement can look stunning. Personally I tend to use either red or yellow pit sand as oposed to normal building sand so the pointing blends in with the stone but its down to personal preferance.

I have got my hubby to build my border down by my bird table so all I gotta do is fill it and plant it when the plants arrive

    Here it is:

If the concrete posts have holes through them already maybe you could bolt wooden posts onto the concrete. Assuming they are not wobbly?

I have been playing in my wildlife garden today. Not done much as I'm still recovering from last night.

I have just done a small corner of it. Got the pond to dig out but I will have to space that out over a few weeks :(

Me and hubby have been busy in the garden today. I've emptied one compost bin into my new borders and finished off the painting and he's started on the decking seating area. I will get some pics tom if I can walk that far lol

Looking great! I love the raised beds, are they made with sleepers?

Well done LMRR, it does look good, and you have a frog already. Its nice when your plans finally bear fruit, I hope there will be some nice hot weather for you to have a well deserved drink or two.
