Set up a sprinkler to water that corner of the garden, but dont set it up correctly so that it goes over the fence and "accidentally" goes on their decking.

Grow some passionfruit along a lattice addition and some clematis freckles which is evergreen and not heavy enough to bring down the fence. You can eat the passionfruits and if you're fed up with passionfruit being too much, leave the clematis in. Evergreen like Clematis cartmanii joe or Avalanche will also do nicely.

This is the way to go - instant privacy and a useful addition to the garden - get one with a high apex roof and place it sideways to your house.

You could if you wished build up the height of the shed with a wooden framed base.

People will look over the fence if the opportunity presents itself - it's just human nature.

I wouldn't bother approaching the Council or any such like - install a shed instead and avoid all the hassle :dbgrtmb:.

Or if you prefer a greenhouse with opaque glazing:blue thumb:.

Bamboo is also a good choice. I have found out that they grow very fast if the pot is immersed in water. I have bamboo new shoots coming out left, right and centre, but it is not the aggressive type. half a year, I have numerous new shoots about 3 feet tall and I chucked a flexitub of water every other night. Phyllostachys is the best or Fargesia blue fountain is beautifully with polished red stems..

@Fathead I think that is a very poor situation for you to be in..

If me I would contact planning and ask them to come to you for an "on site" meeting as you want to know if this a breach of planning, and privacy laws.. As they need to see it..
Stay very calm on the phone to the council and planners and you will get a helpful response as they know how contentious this type of issue is..:ouch1: Wishing you the best, do let us know how it transpires..
