I've only used growbags for this the first year ever, and I wonder if its always been the case or if that perhaps to cut costs growbag recipes have changed.

I too have some outdoor toms, grown in pots in a soil and compost mixture, no sign of a magnesium deficeancy in those. So as it stands next year I will grow in half growbags again, cut in half and upended, but they will be this years bag, emptied and refilled with my own compost.

So you growbag manufacturers have lost another customer.

"it looks like the growbag/feed manufacturers are missing a trick"

I saw a packet of Growing Success Organic Tomato and Cucumber Fertiliser in Wyevale's yesterday - it was half price, but I didn't have time to read the instructions carefully and they went on and On and ON about how to grow Toms, but I didn't see anything, at a glance, about application of the fertiliser :(

It seemed that it could be mixed into the compost at planting time. And it seemed to contain a significant amount of Magnesium. But I've now spent 10 minutes hunting with Google, and every supplier I found has a poxy description like "Good for Toms and Cues" :( and no closeups of the box. (Wyevale's site is excellent for close ups of the small print, but they don't have it on the online site - presumably 'coz its end-of-season, and that's why it was in the sale in my local store :(

Anyone use it? or got a box lying around and can comment on how-to-use? and the NPK and magnesium ratios please?

Growing Success's site has an absolutely appalling lack of information.

"A carefully balanced fertiliser specially formulated for larger, tastier fruits."

That is IT, honestly. And this is the manufacturer's website :( Not even an NPK, let alone any useful, details, information.
