    Differfent day. Same old problems

I used JPD last year - unfortunately I gsve them a 2nd chance.
This year I ordered 4 lots of bedding plants in March.
1.Large Plug Begonias - arrived after 2 weeks - smaller than expected. Still too small to consider potting out after 3 weeks.
    2. Super ready Geraniums - arrived after 3 weeks - subjected to aggressive delivery issues. 1/3 of foliage in bottom of box - JPD advised - no response.
    3. Gazanias - arrived after 4 weeks - seem Ok
    4. Trailing Begonias - who knows when they will arrive - JPD seem not to.

The great thing about JPD is if you email they respond immediately - TO TELL YOU THAT THEY HOPE TO REPLY IN ABOUT 5 WORKING DAYS??.
The only problem is that the NEVER DO - or so it seems to me.

My personal opinion of JPD is that they have my payment, so what if I let lousy service - by next year they hope I will have forgotton.

I will be following the lead suggested in an earlier message - NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

    We had plants from JPD.

Begonia plug plants were delivered almost two months ago in poor condition and have hardly moved until the last couple of days. I don't think they will be ready for sale for the Open Day.

Geraniums were smaller than expected but are begining to show improvement.

Mystery bonus plants for £2.99 arrived yesterday. 160 petunias in pretty good condition and a reasonable size. They seem to be the only plants worthy of the name.

Will we buy from them next year? No chance! Not just because of the poor plants but particularly because of the awful customer care. Impossible to get through on the phone and no response to any emails. If they had shown any customer care then we may have given them a second chance.

I'm reall worried now - only just seen this thread. The first time of ordering from them and I've received only one part of my order and I'm beginning to wonder about the rest now. Hope I don't have to get angry - they won't like me if I get angry!!!!!

    Kate,
Don't worry. They'll arrive but, possibly, not when you thought they would.

Remind me never to get you angry!!! :heehee:

Thanks guys - I'll keep on hanging in there for now and see what happens.

It's okay Shiney - I go a delicate shade of green when I'm angry - you'd like the colour :runhills:

Many years ago before the Interweb thingy I took part in a survey which showed that one dissatisfied customer could lead to a 100 lost potential sales. This was in the days of people actually talking to each other. One wonders how many lost opportunities there are now with the Internet? For example how many members of this Forum would not buy from JPD? And I have seen similar threads on other Gardening sites so their potential loss of future sales must be huge.

JPD - they've modified their email responses

Last night I received a response to my latest email for update.
They advise me that their response to emails is now 6 days - cos they've been very busy!.

Presumably trying to keep up with the complaints about lack of delivery.

Still no response to the email advising damaged Geraniums - bounced from bottom to top of box - no packing - in transit.

The trailing begonias flower "from May through the summer".
The plugs may arrive during this period. When will they actually achieve flowers?.
They can't say when they will arrive, the website has moved the shipping time from March-April to end of May. - do I believe them ??:cry3:

I finally got an email response from JPD yesterday from complaint on damaged Geranium plugs. Sending replacements. No indication as yet as to when?.
Still no indication of when the Trailing Begonia will arrive (ordered March). Despatch date has been changed from Mar-April to end of May? (I think that means "end of May-ish).
When the Plugs develop to A Basketful of Blooms, I have no idea.
I gets cold and dark earlier up north. Should look great in the Conservatory in the Autumn - all 10 hanging baskets!. Anyone got any Sky hooks.:what:

You'll be needing to install a Long Weight before the Sky Hooks. Nip down to stores and ask for one :) if the lady is servicing she'll probably let you have a couple of Greased Nuts to go with them :heehee:
