    They are one of my favourites because of the colour. The orange and chocolate are OK but not as nice as the blue. Siamese fighters (male,) are also nice but can be fin hoppers, so not good with guppies.

      Thanks - I would love a Siamese fighter, but not sure yet, and if we do get guppies that is good advice, as I must admit I didn't think of them as fin nippers.

                Blood parrots get up to 8” in size, tetras and guppies are much much smaller.

                        My understanding was that they were peaceful though? Indeed, some articles go as far as saying they are timid and ideal for a community tank.
