I'm getting jealous now:rolleyespink:, I mean everyone seems to be getting a new camera. I'm not tempted though, I'll stick with my Kodak, even though I running out of glass slides and powder for the flash gun.:coffee:

That's a great price for a very good camera Nick - with a burst mode of a blinding 1.7 frames per second you'll be able to grab some great motion photos. I'd a FinePix for a couple of years and was very pleased with what it produced. I take it you'll not be opening the box before Christmas morning.:D

I'm currently searching for a half decent waterproof case for my little Sony but the one I know works well costs about £260!!! and the cheaper and affordable ones don't appear to be up to much :(

Looks like you are getting a bargain there Pal,
Inhouse Advisor wanted an upgarade for her old Samsung x3 to the newer x18 in silver, AmazonUK was the cheapest so we looked up Amazon DE (German) and it was £35 cheaper even with £5 p&p!!
Ordered it Sunday and it arrived on Thursday.

Hope you bought a memory card too Nick - I don't think you get one with the camera.

Jack, I was forgetting (not uncommom these days) that some compacts still take AAs as most are now Li-on.
I have never found rechargeable AAs to keep their charge for long but anyway we will expect to see some cracking pics Nick (after the 25th of course!).:dbgrtmb:

Its not a compact it is a bridge
I have a couple of Fuji finepix S7000 and S9000
I find the 1.2v 2500 ni-mh last the full 300 and if not used a while charge still there after a month, but only take about 80 pix

My SONY DSLR A9000 lasts forever using the NP-FM500H
