Before chucking it all, if you haven't already done so, why not ask some of the local tech training centres if they want all the bits?

I remember when I was a trainee many moons ago, we were always on the lookout for spare bits to practice with. Quite often local businesses with give us their outdated kit. It would all go into a junk room. Then for practical tests we'd have to find fault with a machine, then find a working spare replacement to fix it.
