Yes a definite improvement. More gardening and a bit less dumbing down. I particularily like Carol Klein's look at families. I would love to see that expanded a bit.

I enjoyed last week, but thought it was deadly dull this week.

I felt like I was sat in a lecture rather than watching Friday night entertainment on TV.

Put some fun back in it please!

Oh, goodness - I guess we all want different things!!

Maybe the answer is to put LOADS of gardening programmes on TV. Given that gardening is enjoyed by a massive number of people, there are surprisingly few tv hours dedicated to it!

    MORE PLEASE!!!!

I agree, Victoria. I always thought the fun format last year should have stayed as the flagship programme, then a shorter more lecture-like detailed programme for enthusiasts, as we have this year, could have been an extra programme.

Watching someone do something that an experienced gardener should know how to do can be dull but for those new to the game it can be rivetting:D

I enjoy seeing the results of all the planting and the lifting of spirits that this wonderful shared pastime/hobby can bring.

imho to pass a day without learning a thing is a day wasted so bring on the latin names and the plant families Carole - you're a star:thmb: I'll probably forget most of what you tell me but your enthusiasm is enough to make me get off my butt and into the garden.

I enjoyed it much more than last year. Genuinely informative. I found it far from dull. I only hope they keep it up.
