    Woo
I believe it is just delayed, due to the current situation, floods etc, maybe can not leave the house

An email explaining so would have been good

I have bought some camera gear at £1600 and it came good, and many other expensive things
so I tend to give the benefit of the doubt due to delays THOUGH IT IS A WORRY

    Take care Woo

        Great news @wiseowl :blue thumb:
Don't let it put you off ebay though because of 1 untrust worthy seller:)

Thanks Mowgley but It already has, because I used my card due to not knowing any other way on Pay pal that,s why it is taking so long to get my refund:)

Once bitten twice shy in future I shall go to a reputable source ;)

Glad you are getting your money back Woo. As mowgley says don't write ebay off forever. If the same thing had happened to me on my first ebay adventure I would be very reticent to use it again, like you are now. But there are so many bargains to be had on there, I've only had a couple of bad experiences on ebay in 600 odd transactions. I've just bought a brand new compact camera for £75 less than anywhere else. So for buyers, provided you use a card and are sensible (as you were), you'll not lose your money.

Yes Woo...do not let it put you off, buy wisely as only a wise owl can do and you will be fine.

We bought our new kitchen through ebay and apart from not getting our last cupboard door, we still saved around £1500, a quick trip to the nearest town and we sorted that out straight away.

              Steve...:)

Hi Woo, I was very sorry to hear you had such a problem on your first time on e-Bay especially as you had taken the decision after hearing all our tales about having no problems on it. Like everyone else I have bought numerous items, including lenses, from e-bay the last one being a Tamron 90mm 72B SP lens just after the New Year and I have never had a problem. But Sod's Law is always there and I am extremely sorry that a Gentleman like yourself has had a purchase go bad.
While everyone is saying don't let it put you off e-Bay I'm pretty sure you won't go there again, which is a shame. I do hope you get the lens that you want and I would stick to your original choice of lens as it is a very good one.:snork:

Sorry to hear you've not been well Woo, I hope you're on the mend now. :)

It's a shame you've lost out on the lens but as the others say there are more reputable sellers on Ebay than disreputable. I can't get my head round EBay's site but anything I've bought my daughter has dealt with for me......so far so good!

I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience, Woo. I can only say that I have made 100's of purchases on Ebay and had problems about 3 times.

I also deal with Hermes on a regular basis as I order clothes from firms like J D Williams and they use Hermes. But I have had problems with them in that they leave parcels "in a secure place" which turned out to be "in my garage". Only one problem with that - I don't have a garage, just a car port which is about 15 feet from the road! After many complaints, refunds and reissues, they would appear to have got the message and don't do that any more. But it took some doing!

                        car port.jpg

I also have had a couple of instances over the years of sellers just not sending the goods but both were minor items and so I never bothered to do anything about it.

Also sorry you're not feeling well.
