I see you have made some adjustments to the style sheet, here is how it looks now.

I'm using a widescreen monitor and it would seem you have initiated changes to "stretch to fit" as the banner is now centred...but stretched.

Prior to these changes there was a white area surrounding the forum block, then the clouds around the white area. The forum block was a fixed width and I think the banner and navbar just needed to be centred..inside the fixed width of the forum block to avoid distrotion of the banner by stretching.

But widescreen users see it differently. As Woo correctly suggested above, if I change my monitor resolution it negates any issues, but that would render my purchasing and using a widescreen monitor.

Widescreen monitors are now more commonplace, and their use will only increase and I was merely informing GC of viewing issues...from a widescreen user.

Its just a styling/sizing issue, easily corrected to enable a pro look for all users.

    Um...sorry Woo...but its stretched..

    Here's a comparison..

    As it currently is now

    How it should look.

The current stretching distorts the photos within the banner..

Aye..it may well do Woo..and thats very good on a user by user basis. I'm trying to help the Webmaster (sorry, I dont know his/her name) as a coverall for a broad spectrum of users, chiefly the ever growing widescreen users.

Well as the banner is unbearably "stretched"...I've resorted to an older unstretched theme...chiefly the "Default" one. So you widescreen users do have a choice of something resembling viewable.

I always leave my setting on 'Default' so never have a problem. Us oldies :old: don't like change :hehe:

Steve's right about most modern screens being 'widescreen' as, when I was replacing my old screen, I had a devil of a time trying to get a square one. I have a lovely 19" very flat screen and I don't really know what advantage there would be in a widescreen.

More screen "Real Estate", with the wider screen you can compare documents side side easier, have more room to move within programs...even work in two programs at once. Its great for editing/viewing my photos or when I'm doing some web coding it allows me to jump between different programs easier.

 OK... I went to my D i Ls yesterday & logged into GC & my account on her wide screen laptop.... She has never looked at GC on it before.... As soon as GC came up it was centred & not stretched at all like you are saying & showing Steve & we made no alterations so am now puzzle by the problem......!!!!!!

 I haven't heard any more complaints about it either Steve..
Perhaps if you have an on going problem you would like to PM the Webmaster about it & maybe you could sort it all out that way Steve.. You just type Webmaster into the PM address bar as that is his GC name.... :cnfs:
