Pete, I think you can turn this off. My Account - Edit Options - Default thread subscription mode - use drop down button and click "Do not subscribe"

Deja vu eh? Still, it's winter - the last gardening I did was earlier this week. A general tidy up in between the snow and frost of Christmas and the torrential rain of the last three days. So, plenty of time to 'chat' about the forum updates eh?
