All the edging has been finished and I've put some logs in one corner and the side that catches the sun the most has a shallow gravel area :)

Got a few more logs to place with the others and then its time to concentrate on planting wildflowers in the grass around the edges :)

That looks blummin brilliant, never thought of making a pond like this before. Hopefully I'll get to do something very similar one day.

Thanks nFrost, so far I've got frogs, diving beetles, a pond skater and tonight we had some bathing birds :), all in less than a week, can't wait to see how this matures, especially when I've finished the planting :blue thumb:

Amazing how quickly ponds can start to mature and look like they've been there for longer than they have :), here's mine today complete with my large toadstool ornament overlooking it ;)

The wildlife is still moving in, today I spotted 3 tiny baby toads around the edge having a nosey and there are still 4 or 5 frogs too :)

Well things are maturing nicely, all the grass has taken and is growing well masking the edges. I have now seen as many as 7 frogs and a couple of toads along with pond skaters, diving beetles and dragonflies. I have also spotted wasps and hoverflies presumably drinking from the pond, along with bathing birds :)

Its going well, just need a few more marginals and some wildflowers to plant into the grass around it :)
