Think we're all guilty of that. Real life takes over.

It's funny isn't it: you visit here daily and think you have read every thread going. You miss a few days and think "Whoa!", who's posted so much? ... miss a little more than a few days, then weeks go by and then a month or two and you get smacked, upside your head (!) and think: how on EARTH did I miss *this*!?

But, that is the beauty of where we are: we *get* there in the end; be it threads, information, encouragement, inspiration, congratulations or simply, good manners/friendship. We all get there: sooner or later.

So glad you got here before Spring, Jen-Jen ... I'm already imagining how fab it's going to look :ccheers:

I sat watching the pond yesterday for about 20 mins with a brew in hand and noticed some more inhabitants, a couple of water boatman and several diving beetles, also saw the resident frogs and numerous tiny bugs swimming around :)

Added a nice rustic feature to the side of my pond this week, a lovely weathered metal dragonfly :), picked it up off a selling page off Facebook for £2, love it :)

It certainly has, I'm more than happy with it, the surrounding grass has all taken and growing well, the water has remained clear and the bottom and gravel look good too, like its been there for a lot longer than it has :)

Here's a view of the pond today, maturing quickly and looking good, especially given its nearly November, planting still not complete but I'm more than happy with its progress :)

With spring around the corner here's how my little wildlife pond looks today, I've seen a few beetles, water louse etc moving below the surface and a pond skater on the surface. No signs of any frogs yet, but here's hoping they won't be long :)

I'm very happy with the condition of the grass around it, its definitely taken and the water is crystal clear, you can even see the first new leaves on the water lilies in the photo :)

I've now managed to source and plant a few wildflowers in the grass; celendines, may flower, ragged robin, wild primroses, cowslips, black and greater knapweed have all been planted :)

Here's how it looks today :)

Sat by my pond today staring into the depths, well shallows :snork:, as well as being a relaxing thing to do its amazing how much micro-wildlife has now made my pond its home; I've seen all manner of little nymphs, beetles, daphnia (thousands of em), water snails, leeches and even a couple of caddis which I was really pleased to see :)

Another viewing session sat by my pond revealed the presence of the first frogs spawn and although I'm not certain I'm sure I caught a glimpse of a newt rising for air, I really hope it was :)
