I don't know if they're Hybrid Teas or Floribundas sorry but I brought these and two others from the garden centre from young rooting...these two was great but the others failed.

This one I've added opens in yellow and red with multiple roses in one go and the back one opens in a peach colour and one rose to one stem...i'll add the plant and flowers plus petal count when they open but I do know they're roughly 8yrs old they was brought not long after decking was done :)

Hi @Gail_68 sounds like the one with multiple blooms is a Floribunda and the one with the single Rose is a Hybrid Tea:smile:

Hi Wise Owl. Actually I have been meaning to contact you as a fellow rosarian. Seeing your reply to Gail and the mention of a petal count. Many moons ago I had an encyclopedic type book on roses that gave the usual info lineage etc and also petal count and if my memory serves me well, also some petal measurements. Helping a friend out, I loaned him the book. That was the last I saw of it. I have overtime contacted the RHS and also the American Rose Society without success. Perhaps we might, 'Talk & Live roses'. Best wishes.

Hi Mike once that rose tree starts flowering it keeps going constantly through till September and if stems get a bit longer, I trim them back because of getting to the Cordyline but that still doesn't stop it...the one on the back garden as got even larger :snorky:

Mike your not taking advantage mate as that doesn't bother me..carry on :dbgrtmb:

Well we are certainly getting some very warm/hot sunny weather. Sad to say, due to health problems, many of my roses missed out on the annual prune, but hey! They all seem to have done well. Lots of blooms and the tiny garden is looking good. One climber has arched itself, so I have purchased an arch for it and hope to train it.
If I may. Please take care when watering. There are many takes about when to water, and science will reveal many differences. My choice is. Water late in the evening, although the temperature might still be high and perhaps uncomfortable, this in my book is the best time. Out in the garden, hose in hand. The temptation is to waive the hose about and wet everything. Simply water/puddle the base of the plant. Overnight the water will soak deep to the roots. You might say. I soak all of the plant, giving the insect-life some drinking points. Don't wory. The natural transpiration of the plant will take care of this. Muggy nights can cause mildew to develop on the rose' foliage, so avoid an overall soak. Hope this helps.

Hello Mike...sorry i'm late replying mate I do apologise

I am pleased your garden and roses are flourishing lovely although your healths been playing up sorry to hear about that.

Mike our gardens got watered last night and it's always done when the sun goes and it's only the ground done where the plants are except for some which I know will be ok the next day when the sun blasts them...it's been very humid though mate:)

Hi @Gail_68 it takes a little time my friend as there are 1000's and 90% have red/yellow buds before they open,be patent my friend ,it would give me more chance when they are fully open(I haven't forgot,at the moment I am working on the ID of 12 different Roses) I seem to have lost a post somewhere as I am sure one of my suggestions was for a named rose "Nostalgia",must be an age thing:heehee:

                          Are found it
It is post 45 in the "Members Roses Thread
