Quite agree HB, if you diet then the body just panics and compensates and tries to store food in case there is a shortage.

I lost about 3 stone years ago by cycling to work (10 miles a day) and eat anything and everything and never put any on after that. That much exercise of course gets your lungs working fully and the whole circulatory system working efficiently and keeps you regular. With all that, you can eat as much choc. as you like!!!! I would not be prepared to spend 3 or 4 hours a day doing it though, I do admire you for that.

So why are we all here, sitting at our computers then? :D :D

Dag ..Growing fat backsides.. :D :D

i know of a friend who had one of those bands inserted in her stomache and she lost loads of weight then it ruptured and she nearly died ..well they removed it and she is back fat again now..
If you starve yourself the body goes into starvation mode and slows the metabolism down..
herbs can help with weight loss fennell is brilliant and so is dandelion tea it keeps the water retention down..

Gooddigger..no mine is a golden retriever and he has allways sat on the sofa with his arm on the armrest we have tried to stop him many times because of his spine but he wont have it he wants to sit like a human..

Just to balance it up a bit, quite agree with everything you say as well Honey Bee, and I do feel a bit guilty now as it's 20 years since I had a bike. Not put on much weight at all, by doing just as you say, although the last 6 months I have gained a bit, and so will also be trying to lose some.

I have a swivelling sort of stepper, and also got one of those things that turn you upside down!!! Have not used it yet as I am still not fully back to normal here.

I do go swimming once a week, I think that is very beneficial.

I don't weigh myself as weight is not the issue, it's those inches that count! ;)

Pal I love that verb "to Rabbit on"

Though I was the only person that ever used it.

    I rabbit on
    we rabbit on
    she rabbits on
HE NEVER rabbits on - just listens

wonder what the translation to portuguese is?

I'm here at your beck and call, Waco ...

A rabbit is call a coelho but "to rabbit on" is tagarela from the verb tagarelar "to chatter" and tagarelice "chat, chatter, gossip".

May I be of any more assistance, madam? [IMG]

A dog helps with the walking. We walk in early the morning and again at night. Plenty of time in between for doing other things. Also - there are lots of things to see and do while walking -- all those wild flowers, birds, butterflies, ancient churches etc etc.. Walking doesn't have to be arduous or boring. I feel dreadfully bloated and stuffed up if I don't walk.

I agree with you Hornbeam but I have always wondered how cats can spend approx 90% of their time curled up asleep. When they wake they do a few stretches and off they go leaping over gates and fences or up a tree as fit as anything!

Why can't we do that! :D

I have a friend lives up the road that is 96, I went to his 90th birthday party and someone had invited a strip a gram. She came dressed as an old codger, started to dance with George, then began to take her cloths off!

When she got down to her frillies, good old George began to try to help her off with the rest! Great to see an old boy of that age getting the last laugh!
